2 1/2 c All-purpose flour

1/3 c Unsweetened cocoa powder

3 ts Baking powder

1/2 c Sugar

1/2 c Brown sugar; packed

1/4 c Margarine or butter; softened

3 Eggs

1 c White vanilla chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees F Spray 1 large or 2 small cookie sheets

with nonstick cooking spray. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup;

level off. In med bowl, combine flour, cocoa and baking powder;

mix well. In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and

margarine; beat well. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in white

vanilla chops. With spray coated hands, firmly shape dough into 3

rolls, about 7 inches long. Place rolls at least 3 inches apart on

sprayed cookie sheet; flatten each to form 3/4 inch thick rectangle,

about 3 inches wide and 7 inches long. Bake at 350 degrees F for

22-28 min or until rectangles are light golden brown and centers are

firm to the touch. Place rectangles on wire racks; cool 5 min. Wipe

cookie sheet clean. With serrated knife, cut each rectangle into 1/2

inch slices; place, cut side up, on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees

F for 6-8 min or until top surface is slightly dry. Turn cookies over;

bake an additional 6-8 min or until top surface is slightly dry.

Remove cookies from cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks.

Store tightly covered.

ASUS teases 'awesome new features' for Transformer Prime, doesn't say what they are

Like that one friend who cares enough to update everyone about a "killer party" they're headed to without saying where it is, the official ASUS Facebook page has dropped a teaser that is as tantalizing as it is frustratingly vague. The note promises "awesome new features" in the next update for its Transformer Prime, but has absolutely no details on what that means. So what could be in store, some minor .01 revision ICS bump, further GPS tweaks, custom ASUS apps or some celebratory Hasbro wallpapers? Of course, we'd love to hear that everyone's getting a new higher-res display swapped into their Tegra 3 tablet, but even with lasers and time travel still on the table, we're thinking that's not it. Feel free to dream big in the comments below -- for the moment, anything is possible.

The founder of internet hosting firm UKFast ? that grew by 32 per cent in 2011 ? admits that his staff incentive schemes could be considered ?ludicrous? by fellow entrepreneurs in a challenging climate but is adamant that his investment in staff is responsible for his firm?s consistent growth since 1999.

Lawrence Jones said: ?There will be analysts and accountants who would look at our practices and think we?re crazy but it?s difficult to put a price on the difference it will make to an organisation because how do you measure emotion? There?s no KPI that you can use.

?It?s not as easy as attaching a value to a piece of machinery that helps you sell a product and historically accountants and business professionals have played down the importance of team building and corporate hospitality but I think it?s essential to running a successful business.

In December 2011, Jones took a group of key performers from his sales team to Vegas for a five-day trip after they surpassed a target set months earlier.

Jones continues: ?We wanted to break records towards the end of the year and the cheekiest of my sales team asked if they could go to Vegas if they met a huge target.

?I thought I couldn?t lose if I set them what I considered to be an unachievable target ? that they would push and push to hit so our figures would be good and if I did have to invest in a costly trip, it would pay for itself many times over.

?They smashed every record set by any previous sales team and they blew my predictions out of the water. They covered the whole trip and still grew sales significantly by achieving what they did.?

In 2008, UKFast invested in a house at the foot of Mount Snowdon to act as a retreat for the team to develop skills and discuss projects in a creative environment away from the office.

Last year, the firm employed Joe Cravagan as head of personal development. Cravagan ? who has more than 15 years? experience running his own personal training company and chains of private gyms ? will lead team-building trips to the Castell Cidwm base and focus on developing the wellbeing of the UKFast team.

The Manchester firm also employed a full-time masseuse and beauty therapist last year.

?Sadly the Inland Revenue doesn?t help with the fact that spend on team building isn?t tax deductible, but once you swallow the cost and commit yourself to the journey of real investment into your team and their wellbeing, the rewards won?t be too far behind. I see it every day when my team goes over and above the call of duty.?

Smallest planet yields big surprises

Mercury has a complicated inside and an active geologic past

THE WOODLANDS, Texas ? Mercury is even weirder than expected, NASA?s MESSENGER probe is showing.

For starters, the planet?s interior is built differently than anything else scientists have blueprints for. Unlike Earth?s, Mercury?s core ? which gobbles up 85 percent of the planet?s radius ? consists of three layers instead of two. At the planet?s heart lies a probable solid layer, surrounded by a swirling liquid iron layer, all encapsulated by a third, solid iron-sulfur layer.

The new MESSENGER results were presented on March 21 at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, as well as in two papers appearing online in Science. One paper discusses the gravity measurements leading to the new model of the planet?s interior, and the other describes surface features in the northern hemisphere.

Reconciling Mercury?s surface composition with its density has confounded scientists until now. Surface rocks don?t contain enough heavy elements, like iron or titanium, to account for the observed density when a standard, two-layered core is considered.

?So we had to ask ourselves, ?How could this be formed??? said Steven Hauck of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. The iron-sulfur shell surrounding the core solves that problem by providing the missing bulk. ?It sits at the base of the rock layer, and we have high-density metal that sits right beneath it as a part of the total solid,? he says.

Researchers aren?t positive that the innermost solid core exists and how big it might be. ?There is room for alternative models,? Hauck says. ?But based on the observational data, the more probable models leads to this idea.?

Mercury scientists aren?t just focusing on subterranean mysteries. Researchers have identified wrinkly surface features that belie a shrinking planet.

Called fold-and-thrust belts, these features arise when Mercury?s core cools and contracts. As the core shrinks, so must the planet?s outer crust, which it accomplishes by sliding bits of crust beneath other bits of crust, Paul Byrne of the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C., reported during a conference session devoted to MESSENGER results. New topographical data helped Byrne and his colleagues identify and measure the length of the sinuous features, some of which cover more than 1,000 kilometers.

Studying the surface crinkles will help scientists determine how much Mercury has shrunk and when the contraction occurred. ?Mercury is exceptional in having such widespread evidence of that contraction,? said Sean Solomon of Carnegie.

In addition, new topographic maps reveal areas in the north that probably come from volcanic activity, and suggest that the planet had a much livelier geologic history than expected. Crater floors are tilted in some areas, meaning that volcanic or tectonic movement disturbed the basins after they were carved into the crust. And the floor of the Caloris impact basin ? a massive crater spanning 1,500 kilometers ? rises above the rims in some places, a feature not seen anywhere else in the solar system, said Maria Zuber of MIT. Some sort of very active process inside the planet, she said, must have boosted material above the crater?s rim.

Indeed, though scientists used to think Mercury was similar to the moon, they now doubt the planet quickly cooled and became a dead chunk of rock. ?Mercury had a very active middle age,? Zuber said.

The mission isn?t over yet. With a one-year extension just approved, expect many more messages from Mercury.

These days, it seems that wherever Kim Kardashian goes, the rumors and drama follow. The E! reality star recently found herself feuding with Jon Hamm after the "Mad Men" star made some negative comments about her in an interview with Elle UK. On Tuesday (March 20), Kardashian addressed the actor's comments and more during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest.

"I just feel like, to be honest, it's all about trying to stay focused and keep everything positive," she said about wanting to move on from the Hamm story."It really takes a lot more energy and effort to be harsh than to say something nice and be positive."
